Hello my friends, my name is Jay Gatsby.
I am a young man of wealthy accommodations living in West Egg of Long Island in the United States of America. I don't like to gloat about my wealth but I feel it is applicable for this certain situation. The year is 1922, although I am sure you are aware my friends. I find this to be an odd device in it's own.
About 3 days ago, a young and aspiring inventor who I won't name, put a new invention on the market he called "The Laptop". He said it would allow the person to contact people all over the world. He said however that "Clock's mean nothing there." I don't quite understand what he meant by that but nevertheless I was intrigued to buy it. It was a for a large sum but I was able to acquire the device. In it was a "Blog" with my name put in it. When I asked the original maker what it was he merely told me that it was for recording my activities over the course of my life.
This will be my first "Post" and already this board with letters is giving me a headache. However I must note it's similarities to another device widely common nowadays. Anyways, the inventor has disappeared and I cannot contact him any longer. It doesn't matter to me but it is quirky.
West Egg is a grand area with lot's of party goers and odd folks. I hold weekend long parties every week however I don't show myself. I am not the best host if you get my saying.
I noticed that a nice home next to mine has been taken by a young man who goes by Nick Carraway. I hope to meet the man soon as that name is eerily familiar to me. In any case I hope all of you reading this "Blog" come to enjoy my story and life. I would love to continue talking about me, however I don't have much time right now to do so. And so I will end it here my friends. I hope I can get a little more used to this "Laptop" of sorts.
C'est la vie!
